The Special Dead – Lin Anderson – immersed in this from page one!

Once again Lin Anderson had me hooked from the very first page. In her 10th Rhona McLeod novel Lin draws the reader in right from the beginning, I felt as though I was right there in the middle of it all, could hear, feel, taste and smell everything that was going on.

Rhona is a fascinating character from her complex relationships with both Sean and McNab to her passion and focus on her work, she gets under the reader’s skin and you find yourself caught up in her life both professionally and personally.

As always the research carried out by Lin Anderson in this book is second to none, this time around Wicca and the intricacies involved in the tradition and practices. And it is Lin’s meticulous research that ensures the plot is solid from the start. We are dragged head first screaming from the beginning – into the death of Wiccan witch, Leila and the secrets she carried as she practiced her magick. We become caught up in the lives of all those involved with Leila and the investigation and can readily feel their fear, joys and desire to seek justice for Leila’s death.
I couldn’t put this book down and I am eagerly anticipating book number 11!
