You Are Dead – Peter James

A huge fan of Roy Grace series but found this one to be slightly tired – I am not sure how long Roy can go on – and surely there needs to be some resolution to the Sandy story!
However in saying that I did enjoy You Are Dead, I love the Roy Grace character and Norman Potting is starting to grow on me too. I like the description of police procedure and having been to Brighton I like feeling that I have been transported back to the area through the Roy Grace series. Plot of You Are Dead was perhaps a little fanciful but I am always happy to suspend belief when reading fiction so it didn’t irk me too much.
I just think (like many other long running characters in books) there comes a time where the story can start to run dry and become a little samey – however I think I will still go on and purchase number 12 just needs a wee revamp
