Heart pounding moments throughout
The book follows two narratives, the present day and five years ago when four friends went on a holiday of a lifetime to Nepal, a holiday that would change their lives forever.
As you read you have no idea who to trust – who is telling the truth and who is lying?
It was difficult to warm to any of the four girls – but this is one of those books where you don’t actually have to like the characters to be enthralled by the storyline.
The Lie hits upon some real trauma, some dark and sinister occurrences (thankfully most of us will never be touched by them but we know similar situations happen across the world)
Kept my engrossed and enthralled, enough twists and turns and heart pounding moments for me – Well deserved 4 stars
