The Storm – Neil Broadfoot, easy 5 stars!

The 2nd in the Doug McGregor series (and I’m already champing at the bit for book number 3 later this year!) opens with a bang as Doug’s editor is brutally murdered in front of him and Doug’s life begins to fall apart!
As well as being based in Edinburgh, The Storm also takes us to Skye as Doug goes to visit his old mentor from the Tribune, Harvey Robertson.
Once again Neil Broadfoot as wowed me, one of those books you don’t want to put down but you don’t want to finish it either – a sure fire winner for me!
Doug is an intriguing character as is his relationship with DS Susie Drummond (and in this book a potential new relationship is introduced); his charm and his determination make it impossible to dislike him and you are reading the book urging him to get to the story and shout it from the rooftops!
Twists and turns throughout the book will keep you hooked, brilliant description of Edinburgh takes you on the journey through the streets with Doug.
Absolutely brilliant follow up to Falling Fast and I can’t wait for the next installment! the storm
