Saving Sophie – Sam Carrington 3 stars

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review. This is a debut novel from Sam Carrington and the the start of it drew me in immediately – a really strong opening that sucker punches the reader!

The book is mainly told from the perspective of Karen (mum) and Sophie (daughter) and shows how online activity and social media can crawl it’s way into your life and in this case destroy lives!

I found myself not really warming to any of the characters, I felt irritated by them at times and thought some of their actions were not true to life, I felt the middle of the book dragged on a little but it picked up again towards the end and a food solid ending.

I gave this a solid 3 stars and think it is a great debut novel and I would look out for the author in the future.
