My Review: 5/5

Tattletale has possibly got to be one of the best 2017 ARCs that I have read so far! The plot revolves around Jody and Mags – two women whose lives have irrevocably been shaped by their past – and what happens when they are brought together following the death of Abe.

The pace is so gut churningly twisted and emotive – what lies on the surface doesn’t always reflect what lies beneath. What an ingenious plot – not only is it full of psychological twists – it will also challenge your every emotion with the underlying theme of abuse of the most horrific nature. Scenes of abuse and rape are described within the book, which can be uncomfortable reading but they are only used sparingly and not throughout the book.

I was a little confused to start with at the character thoughts throughout the book where the 2 characters reflect back on their past to uncover what shaped them into who they are today but once I worked out who each set of thoughts belonged to it became clear – so don’t let this put you off.

Jody and Mags were both complex but captivating characters – Sarah managed to weave a narrative that will reach into your soul and burrow its way into your very being! A twisted yet beautifully written psychological thriller that will be with you for a long time to come,
Tattletale is going to take you on a dark, disturbing, turbulent rollercoaster of a ride!
