Welcome to #TimeForCrime a new series here at Chapterinmylife.

I am inviting bloggers and authors talk about their favourite subject crime, with a set of quick-fire Q&As taking you to the dark heart of the person behind the book or the blog!

This week I am delighted to welcome Lainy over at somanybookssolittletime

Name: Lainy SMBSLT

About you: Scottish bookworm, slave to my cat, animal lover, always found with a book!

Time to delve into the dark mind of Lainy…

Why crime fiction? Why not, I love seeing how folks minds work, I read true crime too which can be scarier than fiction.

Favourite book you have reviewed Hard to pick just one but The Butler books by Kimberley Chambers are fantastic.  Think modern Krays, family, crime, skullduggery and bad language!

You are stranded on a desert island, you can take one book, what will it be – Lord of the Rings by J R Tolkien.  It is so big (I have the 3 in 1 version) you always find something you missed previously.

Do you have a kill list and who is on it? I could tell you but I would have to kill you 😛

Top criminal (real or fiction) I think the Krays are fascinating to be honest.  They were killers yet they have such a huge following.  Was it their principles?  Their bond?  Their family values?  I have many of their books but yet to read them.

Top fictional detective – Ohh hard to pick just one, off the top of my head I would say Stuart MacBride’s Logan McRae – flawed but functional and I love the interactions with him and his boss.

Planner or pantser/organised or beautifully chaotic – I am a mix of a beautifully chaotic planner 😛 It looks like mess but I can find anything in it 😛

Favourite method of murder – I quite liked the genius murder choice of Simon from A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away by Christopher Brookmyre, one of his later kills

Best place to dispose a body – Shark infested waters, fresh kill

Where can we find you? (Oh your blog details, dafty, any personal haunts send them to me privately!)   Twitter @smbslt

Thanks Lainy, remind me never to go sailing with you!
