Kind of uber excited and bouncing up and down to be doing this amazing cover reveal for the the latest novel by Pat Young, Revenge Runs Deep. Due out in May 2019, I’ve got a wee sneak preview of the blurb and the cover…
Thanks to Pat Young and Sarah over at BookOnTheBrightSide for asking me to host the reveal!
Revenge Runs Deep is being launched at the Boswell Book Festival on Saturday 11th May, so if you are in the area, why don’t you pop down and see Pat there (and check out that programme too, great events lined up that weekend!)
But you know the game folks! No giving it away for too easily! Nope, I like to tantalize and tease you a little first! #MyBad!
But first of all, what’s it all about…
Your boss is a bully. How far would you go to get revenge?
Thomas Smeaton is a powerful man who makes life a living hell for his employees. When his bullying drives a woman to suicide, three of her colleagues decide it is time to take action before Smeaton destroys any more good people. Six months later, a car is found submerged in a reservoir, with a single body inside. Suicide? Or murder? Two people were there the night that car rolled into the depths of Loch Etrin. And one is still missing.
Ohhhhh, now this sounds like a good read!
Who is this Pat Young anyway?
Pat Young is a Number 1 Bestselling author of psychological thrillers.
Pat’s debut novel Till the Dust Settles was awarded the prestigious Constable Stag trophy by the Scottish Association of Writers and hit the top spot on Amazon one week after its sequel was released. Pat has also won prizes for her short stories, including the Imprint Writing Award.
Pat was born in Ayrshire, Scotland where she still lives, most of the time. She’s a reader who accidentally became a writer when she found a book with a letter and money hidden inside. That was enough to set her hyperactive imagination on fire and she wrote the story during
Nanowrimo 2010. The idea for Till the Dust Settles came later, in 2013 when Pat watched a documentary about the dust cloud that shrouded Manhattan on 9/11 and thought, ‘What if …?’
In 2017 Pat submitted Till the Dust Settles to Bloodhound Books of Cambridge who immediately offered her a publishing contract. Readers and reviewers in the UK and the USA loved Pat’s debut and asked for a sequel. I know where you live, published in March 2018, moves the action to France and then to Pat’s native Ayrshire. To find out why, you’ll have to read the book.
As a child Pat had to be rescued when she ‘froze’ at the top of a Helter Skelter. In an attempt to overcome this childhood fear she recently discovered a taste for adrenaline and a passion for zip-wiring and abseiling. Her next challenge is to conquer the Orbit Slide at Olympic Park – the world’s ‘longest and tallest tunnel slide’. She’s building up to that one. Watch this space.
It’s almost time to reveal all…
What about a little drum roll first…
Ohhhh, that intrigues me…cannot wait to read this one!
